Murray began trapping moles to protect the yards of customers of a landscape maintenance company he owned. As he became more proficient his lawn customers started telling other people and the mole trapping business just sort of happened.

It became a separate business in 1993 and his only business since 1995. He keeps up on all methods of mole control and continues to employ what he considers is the safest, most effective and humane way to control moles.
